HARPOON HELPS' LARGEST VOLUNTEER MISSION OF THE YEAR
EVENT UPDATES
ABOUT THE EVENT On Saturday, December 6th, 2008, we will be sending Harpoon Helpers to various locations throughout Boston (shelters, soup kitchens, play spaces, etc.) and this year, we will also be helping spread holiday cheer in cities all over New England, including Portland, ME, Worcester, MA, Providence, RI, Hartford, CT, Manchester, NH, and Windsor, VT/Lebanon, NH.
NEW LOCATIONS IN 2008 In addition, we will be adding locations in Albany, NY and Philadelphia PA for the first time ever!
Harpoon Helps has located some places that could really use some holiday festiveness. In 2007, over 400 people volunteered during the day; more than 300 volunteers decorated 25 locations in Boston and about 70 people decorated 7 locations in Hartford, Worcester, Portland, Providence, Manchester, and the Upper Valley. >> Full 2008 list of locations HARPOON HELPS GIFT DRIVE
WE NEED GIFTS!! No, not for us. They’re for the men, women, and kids at the shelters we’re decorating for the 5th Annual Harpoon Helps Spread Holiday Cheer. We thought it’d be great to be able to leave a little something extra for the folks that could use it the most during this season. Thanks to your help in 2007, Harpoon Helps donated over $6,000 in gift cards to Boston-area shelters.
